We recently visited Grand Dhaba. Overall, the food was okay, but what really stood out was the excellent service. Our server, Lissta, was awesome! She was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her great attitude and hospitality made our dining experience much more enjoyable. The restaurant also has a beautiful atmosphere and an impressive setup. A big thank you to Lissta for taking such great care of us!

This was our first time trying the lunch buffet at Grand Dhaba in Plano, and we will definitely be coming back soon! What we loved most is that all the food is not too spicy, tasting just like comforting, homemade cooking. The biryani was absolutely delicious and had that nostalgic flavor that makes me miss it every day. Their lentil dish is also fantastic and easily my favorite. A wonderful surprise was the butter chicken sauce, which is beautifully creamy with a unique sweetness and subtle coconut flavor. The fresh breads are top-tier—the naan is incredibly soft, and the freshly made bhatura is spectacular, being super soft and fluffy inside with a perfect crispy exterior. Every single dish has a perfectly balanced spice level, and we highly recommend this spot to all Punjabi food lovers!

Food was excellent! Walking up the place looks like a huge warehouse and it kinda is in the fact that they have halls for huge parties. Walking in, there is an open area to the right is the restaurant. It’s clean and smells delish. On Sunday, they offer buffet but I always choose à la carte. We had several dishes, spice levels all varied - Goat curry, chicken tiki masala, Dahl, chili paneer Pani puri with garlic naan, roti and poori. If you want simple - no fuss and excellent food, here is the place for you!! We ate family size with two main dishes, dahl, jeera rice, breads. Good portion sizes although could have had more chicken in the chicken in the masala! We will be back.

We went for lunch on a Friday. We were the only guests the entire time we were there. I expect this to be more popular for banquets, as it seems like they are set up for that. My karma sauce was outstanding, but I was a little disappointed in the vegetables as some of them did not appear to be fresh, but frozen. My son got the chicken appetizer and he said it was delicious and the noun was really good too. We would be back again.

We drove about 40 minutes with a lot of excitement to try authentic North Indian and Punjabi food—especially since I’m Punjabi myself. To start with, the buffet spread wasn’t very extensive and had limited options. That said, we were already aware of this, so it wasn’t a surprise. However, I did feel that many of the dishes were quite heavy on oil and salt, which affected the overall taste. One pleasant surprise was the biryani—it was actually very good, which I didn’t expect from a North Indian-focused restaurant. The kheer was also tasty, though a bit too sweet for my preference. The chai was just average. The ambiance is fairly average but clean, and the setup is decent. The bhatura was fresh, which I appreciated. However, the service could have been better—the attendant forgot to bring another bhatura even after we requested it twice. I think maybe À la Carte would have been better . Overall, the experience was average. It’s not a bad place, but it’s not outstanding either.
